The owner of the hotel supposedly gave two people around ₹10 lakh to move the body to his BMW car and discard it elsewhere.
In a shocking incident, a former model named Divya Pahuja, who was once the girlfriend of a notorious gangster named Sandeep Gadoli (killed in 2016), has been murdered by a hotel owner and his associates in Gurugram. The police have revealed that her body was taken to a BMW car and discarded in an undisclosed location, and her whereabouts are still unknown.
The reason behind the killing remains unclear, but what makes this case even more puzzling is that the victim was previously accused in the alleged fake encounter involving her then-boyfriend, who was the most-wanted gangster in Gurugram at the time. She had spent seven years in prison and was only granted bail last year.
According to officials from Gurugram's Sector 14 police station, the family of 27-year-old Divya Pahuja reported her as missing after she went out with her friend Abhijeet Singh on January 1. They informed the police that Singh owned Hotel City Point in Gurugram and that Pahuja's phone had been turned off for several hours.
When the police went to the hotel and watched the CCTV cameras, they saw someone dragging a wrapped-up body along a hallway. Singh, along with two of his friends, has been taken into custody for the murder of the former model. Right now, the police are working hard to locate the body.
An officer mentioned that Singh supposedly gave the two men ₹10 lakh to place the body in his BMW car and leave it somewhere hidden. The two friends are named Omprakash and Hemraj.
After Divya Pahuja went out with Singh on New Year's Day, they reached his hotel around 4:15 am the next day, along with one of Singh's friends and at least one other man.
According to a police official, after they killed Pahuja, two of Singh's friends carried her body through the hotel corridor and placed it in his BMW. They then drove towards Punjab and got rid of the body there.
Pahuja was previously involved with Gurugram's most-wanted gangster, Sandeep Gadoli, who was killed by the Haryana police during an encounter in a Mumbai hotel back in 2016. Pahuja was with Gadoli in the hotel room when the incident occurred.
Afterward, several police officials were arrested due to suspicions that the encounter was staged. Pahuja and her mother were also taken into custody for supposedly disclosing the gangster's location and contributing to the alleged fake encounter.
Pahuja spent seven years in prison and was granted bail by the Bombay High Court in July of the previous year.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Mukesh Kumar mentioned that after committing the murder, the accused attempted to destroy evidence. He explained that Pahuja's family went to the hotel when her phone was switched off for many hours and asked to see the CCTV footage, but they were denied access. Subsequently, officials from Sector 14 police station went to the hotel and saw the CCTV footage revealing Pahuja's body being dragged. The police are currently searching for her body.
Divya Pahuja lived in Baldev Nagar, Gurugram, while Singh resides in South Extension, Delhi.
