Shakib Al Hasan, the Bangladesh captain, is getting attention more for his anger than for his cricket skills lately. He's been in videos arguing loudly with umpires and getting frustrated on the field. Now, before winning the Parliament elections, he slapped a fan. In the video, the fan accidentally pushed Shakib, and he quickly slapped the person's face in anger.

At the place where people vote, called a polling station, this incident happened while Shakib was there to vote. The video doesn't show exactly why Shakib got upset, but it does show a lot of people crowding around him. We can't see clearly what the fan did to make Shakib angry. But it looks like Shakib felt he needed to do something to take control of what was happening.

Recently, a video went viral showing Shakib sitting on a stage while fans came up to take selfies with him. Even though he agreed to take the pictures, he didn't seem very happy about it. It looked like he might have been a bit annoyed by all the interruptions for selfies.

On Sunday, Shakib won a big election to become a member of parliament. Even though the other side didn't take part, Shakib won with a huge number of votes—over 150,000 more than the other person. The person in charge of the area said it was a 'landslide victory,' showing that a lot of people supported Shakib.

Shakib's big win

Shakib was expected to win because he was part of the Awami League, the same party as the Prime Minister, Sheikh Hasina. The other big party, Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), decided not to take part in the election. Even though Shakib hasn't said anything yet, a lot of people think that Sheikh Hasina will win again and become Prime Minister for the fifth time.

Before the election, Shakib said he felt nervous about the competition but knew there would always be challenges, just like in cricket. He took a break from cricket to focus on politics, ignoring worries about managing both roles. He asked, 'Did I retire?' to show he hadn't quit cricket.

Shakib is a big deal not just in politics but also in cricket. He's the only person ranked number one in all three cricket formats. He started playing internationally when he was 19 after training at a sports academy in Bangladesh as a teenager.

The next year, Shakib became famous by scoring a great fifty runs against India in the World Cup, and Bangladeshi fans were really happy about it. But besides his cricket success, Shakib has sometimes gotten into trouble for not behaving well. He once threatened a fan with a bat and got a three-match ban for making a rude gesture to a TV crew.
